Wisconsin Dells

Fox Hill RV Park & Campground

Wisconsin Dells is one of the best places to visit in the Badger State and Fox Hill RV Park is the perfect home base to see it from. Whether you’re in it to see the beautiful sandstone formations along the Wisconsin River that the Dells are named for, or you want to hit as many water parks in the area as possible, there’s something for everyone here. The RV park is just 7 miles from Devils Lake State Park and gives discounts at many local attractions such as Noah’s Ark Waterpark when you stay there. On site you’ll find movie nights and s’mores, disc golf, a foam pit, wagon rides, and activities such as tie-dying. You certainly won’t run out of things to do when you stay here!

Stoney Creek RV Resort

This RV resort is great for traveling with a family. There are 79 full hook up sites at this Osseo spot, and the family-owned campground prides itself on the abundance of activities they provide for campers. If you’re here during summer, you can spot the mascot, Morey the Moose, hopping between mini golf, the playground, the skate park and the jumping pillow. You can get the family together for a game of laser tag, ride in a covered wagon or head to the pool with a kiddie area. Make sure you stop by TJ Grill for things like donuts and pizza, and visit the lagoon and fishing pond. There are also plenty of themed activities planned throughout the year to make your trip even more exciting.

Downtown Milwaukee

Wisconsin State Fair Park

Sometimes it’s fun to explore the city on your RV travels, and Milwaukee is absolutely worth the visit. The RV park at Wisconsin State Fair Park is the only RV park in metro Milwaukee, and it’s a great place to stay! From here, you’re just minutes from the highway where you can spend your days visiting the Milwaukee County Zoo, downtown Milwaukee, and even the Brewers when they’re in town. There are 70 full hookup sites, clean restroom and shower facilities, and a dump station. You can also access the Hank Aaron Bike Trail from the park if you want to explore the area by bicycle.

Rustic Barn Campground & RV Park

You will love this quiet country escape in Kieler, Wisconsin. The campground gets its name from the picturesque red barn that they use for a store and gathering room. Inside this antique structure, you’ll find camping supplies and unique wares from local vendors in the tri-state area as well as a quaint porch to spend time sipping coffee or getting to know other campers. The RV sites themselves are nestled under trees overlooking nearby farmland, making for the most relaxing stay possible.

Waterfall at Willow River State Park

Willow River State Park

For those who love a good state park camping trip, check out Willow River State Park. While you won’t find the ample amenities on site here like you will at some of the other places on this list, you will find RV sites with breathtaking nature scenes around to enjoy. This park near the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin is best known for the gorgeous waterfall at its center that makes for a great day of hiking. Since it’s a state park, there are often educational activities held for campers during the busy seasons, like getting up close and personal with reptiles and hawks native to the area. It’s the perfect getaway to reconnect with the outdoors.

Village Inn on the Lake Hotel & RV Park

If you’re hoping to camp right on the shores of Lake Michigan, head to Village Inn on the Lake. This hotel has an RV park with 24 RV sites with full hookups and is just across the street from the sandy lakeshore. RV guests get to enjoy the same amenities as hotel guests such as the indoor pool, hot tub, shower facilities and laundry. You can also hang out at the property’s very own mini golf course, grab a drink at the poolside bar or host an event in the private beer garden. There’s also a camp store just in case you forgot anything for your trip.
